Virtual Reality can be used to re-create and experience in 1:1 scale, the Architect's design intentions. In this example, an eye hospital is envisioned. This VR tool is created as a way of experiencing the intended design by walking through it from the perspective of an end-user. The VR Experience allows critiquing on aesthetics, colour choices, lighting design, fit-out schedules, material preferences and the general practicality of design. By moving beyond a 2 dimensional floor plan and a 3 dimensional Model seen on a computer screen, an by entering this virtual world, clients and architects can take highly informed design and other project related decisions resulting ultimately in valuable resource optimisation.
