The office for Biomeurieux’s Banaglore branch sits inside the elderly and modest Manipal centre business complex in Bangalore. Being one of the oldest office complexes in Bangalore, the interiors of this building and thus the office was old looking, dull -feeling and just too bulky and un-interesting to suit a modern MNC’s office. As the before and after images might prove, the difference In the look and feel of the space before and after our intervention is just drastic. The layout was changed from a very yesteryear cubicle based to a very open format layout. A new false ceiling that was designed to mirror the layout of the custom-made office furniture was added. Toughened glass partitions with a very energetic yet subtle paint theme was executed as part of the design. All the furniture were custom made and shaped to allow for maximum transition space in between them and yet function seamless and feel energetic, void of any boring straight lines and 90 degree corners. The office space now feels contrastingly contemporary relative to the space that once existed.
