SHLOKA- A BIRLA SCHOOL

 Hosur, Tamil Nadu

The brief for the project was to add to the existing structure of the building in order to invite more admissions. The existing building structure was a very functional boxy structure with simple classrooms and other spaces. The design solution in this case was to accentuate the building and its complex with better looking and better feeling architecture. At the crux of our proposal is the colourful ribbed frame-works made of metal sections. These are supposed to act as a portal into the school complex and lead straight into the playground behind while crossing multiple academic, non academic , admin and breakout zones. The design is meant to enthral any visitor, parent, student as they enter the school premises and energise them as they begin their day and end their day at school. Hence the structure is painted with a spectrum of warm energizing tones of red and orange. The landscape adorning this frame-work adds immense character to the premises..
